Promises, Progress and Compromises

B Compromises and promises are things we've all probably made at some point, and this week was full of them. I'm proud of myself, but there's so much more to say. Have you ever felt like you're full of so many feelings that you might just burst?

👋 Hey, Rosie here! I have so much to tell you; this past week was quite something. The sky is lovely this evening, and it's a blackout right now. I'm getting cozy on the terrace, and I hope you are too because this is going to be a longer post.  ☕️

There has been significant progress with my study and weight goals - seriously good progress. However, personal problems and my parents' fighting at the start of the week after a lovely day out on Monday made me very upset since things weren't going as planned.

My parents stopped their shenanigans on Tuesday, and on Wednesday morning, I had a goal. I wanted to make myself happy and content in both the future and the present. I went out of my way to do better and met up with a girl online to study. It wasn't that successful, but I slept content since I tried. On Thursday morning, I woke up and got a new study pal, and we studied three hours of math. On Friday, I woke up, gained five new study pals, studied for five hours, and worked out for an hour.

Here are some things that helped me:

- Good study friends

- Realistic goals

- A healthy mindset

- A new study environment

Man, I just want to be loved and happy and have a good life. I'm happy with myself. This week started badly, and I'm still iffy with some of my other friends, but I want to keep trying. I'm so happy, and I still do the stuff I love, like art, webcomics, and other things.

We've made progress - yay!

Here are some tips for you:

- Get out of your room and study somewhere else because it truly changed me.

- Make study pals.

- Set realistic goals. On the first day, I studied for a solid 30 minutes at a time, and before that, I never succeeded in more than 25 minutes of focus.

- If you're tired, take the day off and start working harder tomorrow, but don't if you're just feeling lazy.

- Ask yourself why you don't already study (for example, one of the reasons for me was feeling embarrassed to study or work out in front of my parents or sister).

Cry, let it out, and vent to your stuffed animal. People suck sometimes, and things can get awful, but at the end of the day, know what you're fighting for, even if it seems like nothing will go your way.

Some days I'm not in the mood, and some days I don't care to live. I'm working on things, and I hope you are happy or do something that makes you feel good.

Before I leave, I have some advice for you (skip if you've already started your goals):

So, can't seem to start studying or working out? No motivation to actually do anything? Maybe you started one day but didn't follow through? I did that for like a year, and here's how I changed things: I made it easier for myself by addressing my issues, like feeling overwhelmed (I made goals I have to reach every day). I didn't start working out on Thursday because I was overwhelmed, and it was a good choice. I wish you luck!

Note to myself (my new schedule):

- Three hours of math

- One hour of language studies

- One hour of working out

I know that's not a lot to some people but it’s so much work for me to do everyday.

Your going to be fine, I’m going to be fine. We’re going to have a good time even if it’s just reading romance books alone on a Saturday night! We have got this!

Love ya,

Ros
